This user presentation was given at the 2009 Developer Summit.

The presentation will leverage a suite of tools in the “http goodness” toolbox to discuss the implementation of RESTful applications and services utilizing ESRI's REST and JavaScript APIs in association with Microsoft’s ASP.NET MVC framework. Caching, linking, bookmarking, and friendly URLs are all nice features of the RESTful architecture but, as a developer, consider the impact on your next Geoweb app of having absolute control over addressable resources (data views and maps), guaranteed code quality governed by TDD principals, the opportunity for pluggable back end services in a hybrid solution, and the opening of doors for software and data interoperability over HTTP!

Excellent presentation in every aspect, content, organization, style and relevance. The group I work with is moving from desktop to web. We've looked at the various ADFs and Google map API. We just opened our eyes to ASP MVC in the last few days. We had been thinking Web ADF but are now considering Silverlight. I had to cancel my plans to attend the summit at the last minute. I can't say enough about how helpful this presentation has been and how much it has made up for not being there.
