There are three ways to open the ModelBuilder window.
- Click the Start ModelBuilder tool (
) found on the standard toolbar. - In the ArcToolbox window, right-click a custom toolbox, point to New, and choose Model.
- In the ArcToolbox window, right-click an existing model and choose Edit.
- Click the Start ModelBuilder tool (
) found on the standard toolbar in ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGlobe, or ArcScene.
- In ArcCatalog, ArcMap, ArcGlobe, or ArcScene, open the ArcToolbox window by clicking Show/Hide ArcToolbox Window (
). - You can create a new model in any custom toolbox. A custom toolbox is a toolbox to which you have write access. If you do not have a custom toolbox, you can easily create one by right-clicking in the ArcToolbox window and clicking New Toolbox. Learn more about creating and managing toolboxes
- Right-click a custom toolbox, point to New, and click Model. You can also create a model in a toolset.
- In ArcCatalog, ArcMap, ArcGlobe, or ArcScene, open the ArcToolbox window by clicking Show/Hide ArcToolbox Window (
). - Open the toolbox or toolset containing the model you want to edit.
- Right-click the model and choose Edit.
