Print active view

PurposeThis document demonstrates how to properly print the active view with the IPrinter interface, including setting output quality.

How to use

See Using the samples for help on compiling, setting up the debugger, and running the sample (either an exe or dll).

  1. Open the appropriate solution file in Visual Studio.
  2. Click the Build button to compile the .dll and register it.
  3. Open ArcMap. Add the tool to a toolbar or to an application with a ToolbarControl and associated map.
  4. Choose Customize from the Tools menu.
  5. In the Customize dialog box for the toolbar or ToolbarControl, click the Commands tab.
  6. Choose the Developer Samples category to find the tool and add it.
  7. Click Close in the Customize dialog box.
  8. Click the tool to print the active view.
