Under the Model menu, click Report. You can either view the report on your screen or save it to a file.
The report documents everything contained in the model. The report contains three sections: Model Report, Variables, and Processes.
shows the date and time the report was generated.Variables
contains a section on each data and value variable in the model and lists the data type and value, as well as any messages about the variable.Processes
contains a section on each process (tool plus data) in the model. For each process, the name and location of the tool is listed, along with a table describing each parameter, its direction (input or output), its type (required or optional), its data type, and its value. There is also a section containing messages from the last execution of the process.
You don't have to generate a report to view model messages. You can view messages in the message section of the Command Line window, or you can right-click a tool or variable element in the model and click View Messages.
Saving to a file
Reports are saved to an XML file. You can view this file in your browser, such as Internet Explorer. Depending on the level of security you have set for your browser, the browser may give you an error message concerning the restriction of active content and you won't be able to expand the sections. You should be able to override this and allow active content, as shown in the following illustration of version 6.0 of Internet Explorer.
