Class SplitLine

java.lang.Object
  extended by com.esri.arcgis.geoprocessing.AbstractGPTool
      extended by com.esri.arcgis.geoprocessing.tools.datamanagementtools.SplitLine
All Implemented Interfaces:
GPTool

public class SplitLine
extends AbstractGPTool

Splits features at each vertex for the entire input feature class. This command will turn single line features into multiple line features. The number of line features created depends on how many vertices exist on each line from the input feature class. The Split Line At Vertices tool is contained in the Data Management Tools tool box.

Constructor Detail

SplitLine

public SplitLine()
Creates the Split Line At Vertices tool with defaults.

Initializes the array of tool parameters with the default values specified when the tool was created.

SplitLine

public SplitLine(Object inFeatures,
                 Object outFeatureClass)
Creates the Split Line At Vertices tool with the required parameters.

Initializes the array of tool parameters with the values as specified for the required parameters and with the default values for the other parameters.

Parameters:
inFeatures - Feature Layer, input feature class containing geometry that will be split at each vertex.
outFeatureClass - Feature Class, the output feature class to be created that will contain the newly formed line features that were split at each vertex. Features will be split into multiple line features.
Method Detail

getInFeatures

public Object getInFeatures()
Returns the Input Features parameter of this tool . This parameter is Feature Layer, input feature class containing geometry that will be split at each vertex. This is a required parameter.

Returns:
the Input Features

setInFeatures

public void setInFeatures(Object inFeatures)
Sets the Input Features parameter of this tool . This parameter is Feature Layer, input feature class containing geometry that will be split at each vertex. This is a required parameter.

Parameters:
inFeatures - Feature Layer, input feature class containing geometry that will be split at each vertex.

getOutFeatureClass

public Object getOutFeatureClass()
Returns the Output Feature Class parameter of this tool . This parameter is Feature Class, the output feature class to be created that will contain the newly formed line features that were split at each vertex. Features will be split into multiple line features. This is a required parameter.

Returns:
the Output Feature Class

setOutFeatureClass

public void setOutFeatureClass(Object outFeatureClass)
Sets the Output Feature Class parameter of this tool . This parameter is Feature Class, the output feature class to be created that will contain the newly formed line features that were split at each vertex. Features will be split into multiple line features. This is a required parameter.

Parameters:
outFeatureClass - Feature Class, the output feature class to be created that will contain the newly formed line features that were split at each vertex. Features will be split into multiple line features.
