public class SplitLine
extends AbstractGPTool

Splits features at each vertex for the entire input feature class. This command will turn single line features into multiple line features. The number of line features created depends on how many vertices exist on each line from the input feature class. The Split Line At Vertices tool is contained in the Data Management Tools tool box.

Software restrictions: ArcInfo only

Usage tips:

• All input feature classes; and/or feature layers; must be line geometry.
• Splits each line feature at every vertex for the newly created feature class.
• The output feature class can be a much larger file, since all the new features have been created. This will depend on how many vertices are in the input feature class.
