The ArcGIS Server for the Microsoft .NET Framework installation process on the Windows Vista operating system requires specific components of Internet Information Services (IIS). If these components are not installed, the Web Applications feature will not be available. The IIS components detailed below satisfy the minimum requirements for the Web Applications feature. The Web Applications feature includes ArcGIS Server Manager.
The IIS components listed below are only minimum requirements. If other IIS components are installed, they do not need to be removed.
Steps to add IIS components on Windows Vista
1) Open the Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on or off (found under Programs and Features)
2) Expand the Internet Information Services feature.
3) Verify the IIS components listed below are turned on.
A filled box means only that part of the feature is turned on. A checkmark indicates the feature is completely installed.
The following IIS components must be installed when performing an installation on Windows Vista. If these components are not installed, the Web Applications feature will not be available.
